Ocean Ridge: There is a heavy presence of law enforcement and first responders at Ocean Inlet Park after a report of missing swimmer early Thursday morning. Fire Rescue Capt. Albert Borroto said at 2:49 a.m crews arrived at the 6900 block of Ocean Blvd. in response to the incident.
Nashville: A church break-in occurred overnight on Gallatin Pike. An officer stopped two people on skateboards at Gallatin Pike and Norvell Avenue because they matched the description of suspects looking into vehicles at the Rodriguez Service Center.

Two bursts of bullets on a Brooklyn street left a man critically injured Wednesday night. A gunman dressed in black opened fire on 23-year-old Shaquill Banks in front of his grandmother's apartment building on Chauncey St. by Malcolm X. Blvd. in Bedford-Stuyvesant just after 10 p.m., police sources said.

Jacksonville: Police are investigating after a man was shot Wednesday evening outside a gas station near Herlong Recreational Airport, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. Officers responded about 9:20 p.m. to the shooting near the Kangaroo on Normandy Boulevard at Blair Road.

Mitchell: man was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly killing a woman by asphyxiation. Thirty-nine-year-old James Brinker is accused of stuffing a 36-year-old woman’s mouth with a sock, tying a cloth belt around her face, wrapping the woman in a blanket and leaving her on a mattress for a “significant period of time,” leading to her death, according to the Mitchell Police Division.

Authorities say they are searching for a man accused of killing and raping a 13-month-old in northeast Ohio.
Police are investigating at robbery at a gas station in Clinton, Maryland early Wednesday morning. The incident took place around 2:40 a.m. at a Shell gas station located in the 8200 block of Woodyard Road. There are no suspects at this time.
