Four pit bulls apparently got into a neighbor’s yard and killed as many as seven other dogs Saturday, an animal services officials said. A 75-year-old Houston man, That Huu Le, was shot to death in broad daylight Saturday outside of an H-E-B grocery parking lot. A man was fatally shot Saturday in New Orleans East, the city's second homicide of the day. Police said the killing occurred in the 4700 block of Shalimar Drive. Police say they arrested a 19-year-old on Saturday and charged him with murder. The investigation began with the shooting of Khali Davis who was gunned down at the corner of Maple and Kossuth Streets on the city’s east side back on December 23rd, 2017. State officials have identified the man shot and killed by police this week. On Wednesday, The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a man inside a vehicle at a Love’s Truck Stop with a gun pointed at his head. The man, who has now been identified as 29-year-old Jihad Merrick of Minneapolis, Minnesota, fled the scene traveling southbound on Highway 218 when officers arrived. Shortly after, a Nashua police officer saw Merrick outside of his vehicle again pointing a gun at his head. The officer initiated a traffic stop, and a standoff followed as Merrick got back inside the vehicle

Police say two people are dead in southeastern Indiana, apparently victims of a homicide. The bodies of a male and a female were discovered Friday night at a house in Aurora in Dearborn County, 30 miles west of Cincinnati. The bodies were found after the county sheriff's department was asked to check on the welfare of the pair.

Poindexter was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A good Samaritan prevented two men from robbing the local SmashBurger Friday night. Royshon Ferguson and Greg Mclaurin enter the restaurant on Boston Post Road. Ferguson was carrying a .22 handgun. The two men ordered all the workers and customers into the kitchen. Mclaurin then ordered the manager to open the safe or he would shoot her in the head.
Long Beach police shot and wounded a person riding a bike who they deemed suspicious on Saturday evening, officers said. Officers first noticed the suspicious subject on a bike around 6 p.m. near the intersection of Burnett Street and Santa Fe Avenue on the city’s west side, according to Sgt. The robbery happened sometime after 10:00 p.m. Emergency dispatch reports that police are looking for two suspects that robbed the store at gunpoint.
