A fugitive on the run for almost a year has been captured in Richford. Police say they received a tip Monday that Duane Delisle was hiding out at a residence on Thomas Street. After searching the residence for approximately 45 minutes, police located him hiding inside a piece of furniture.
An attempted home invader shot his accomplice to death Tuesday night on the front porch of a home in the Ravenswood neighborhood on the Northwest Side, police said. A Pontoon Beach police officer who nearly lost his life in a head-on crash last week is talking and cracking jokes after being moved from the intensive care unit. 3 people were detained after they reportedly beat up an employee at a local Subway. It happened at 7040 S. Durango Drive. 2 males and a female ordered food at the Subway and left without paying. When the employee confronted them in the parking lot, they beat him up and took his car. The victim’s vehicle was located at the RIO and the 3 people were detained. The employee did not require hospitalization

A driver was injured Tuesday morning after crashing into a tree on an Oceanside street. Oceanside police said the crash happened just before 2 a.m. in the 3700 block of College Boulevard, near Lake Boulevard. According to police, the 19-year-old female driver was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her 2005 Honda Accord and collided with a tree.

Three Middletown residents were captured and charged for their alleged involvement in the robbery of multiple firearms Sunday morning from a Madison Twp. sporting goods store. John Johnson, 32, and Simuel Albin Jr., 25, were charged with theft, theft of firearm and breaking and entering, according to Middletown police. Natasha Harrison, 25, was charged with complicity to theft, complicity to breaking and entering and for four warrants, police said.

A Jeep Wrangler was traveling westbound on Guilford Road drove into the intersection at Oakland Mills Road and struck an Isuzu truck that was traveling southbound on Oakland Mills Road and was already in the intersection.
Two Detroit police officers were hurt in a crash Monday night on Detroit's east side, police said. Prince George's County Police say the crash happened in the 2900 block of Richie Marlboro Road at around 5:40 a.m. The two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police say.
