Chicago police, are investigating a vehicle crash where five people were injured and one person was killed in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday evening, May 18, 2024. At approximately 11:10 p.m., Saturday evening on the 3800 block of W. Harrison, a vehicle with five passengers was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Harrison when it disregarded a traffic signal and was struck on the drivers side by another vehicle and then struck a pole shortly thereafter. The driver that struck the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with police as they investigated the accident. All five passengers were taken to local area hospitals. A 14-year-old male sustained blunt force trauma to the head and body and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
